☕️ DENISE DISCOVERS THE PANHANDLE — BONIFAY, FL ☕️While I was in Bonifay showing property today, the coffee craving hit… and wouldn’t you know it, Fresh Grounds Coffee House was right across the road! ❤️ It’s already one of my favorite coffee stops, but today I learned a little more about the people and purpose behind it.I had a great conversation with manager David Walker, who, along with his wife Michelle, are former missionaries from Senegal, West Africa. They moved to Bonifay about five years ago to be closer to family and have continued their passion for serving others right here locally. Fresh Grounds was established in 2020 and is an outreach of Carmel Assembly of God Church, helping raise funds for missions, local law enforcement, emergency services, schools, and other local needs. They also help coordinate clothing giveaways during the year. ❤️One thing I always notice when I walk in — everyone is happy. You can see it and feel it. The staff is always friendly, the place is warm and inviting, and there is just something special about the atmosphere. Today, I sat down and noticed the little notes around where I was sitting — “Keep the Faith” and “Jesus.” Wow. ❤️ Sometimes the smallest details tell you so much about a place.And of course, the coffee and food are SO good! ☕️ David’s favorite is the Dulce de Leche, and they have such a wide variety to choose from. Their breakfast sandwiches, peanut butter balls, and sausage balls are popular favorites, along with healthier options like fruit and cheese trays, low-carb wraps, and crustless quiche. There really is something for everyone!I stopped in around 9:00 this morning and was so happy to see them BUSY! Well y’all… Keisha and I were standing right in the middle of the road in one of the neighborhoods trying to get this picture when an older gentleman in an old truck pulled up with his dog.Now, that’s one thing about Chipley — people like to know what you’re doing. 😂I still don’t know if he was checking to make sure we were okay, flirting a little, or just being a little too curious 😅Either way, I’m pretty sure we gave him something to wonder about.So when I say I’m out here hitting the pavement for my business… I mean it. 🌻 DENISE DISCOVERS THE PANHANDLE 🌻Springhill Harvest | Graceville, FLHave you ever passed by a place over and over and kept telling yourself, “One day I’m gonna stop and check that place out”? Well, that was me with Springhill Harvest. I’ve passed by so many times, and today I finally stopped! ❤️ Springhill Harvest has a Graceville address but sits right on the edge of Cottondale, and I had the best time meeting the owners, Jason and Dawn Hatcher.Within the first couple of minutes of talking with Dawn, she started sharing how God had opened doors for them along the way, and I immediately felt this connection with her. I’m not gonna lie, I got emotional and was about ready to cry right there. I could identify with what she was saying so much because God has blessed my life in ways I never could have planned, and He continues to connect me with people and build relationships that mean so much to me. I talked to Dawn like I had known her my whole life, and by the time I left, I honestly felt like I had made a new friend.They’ve been in business a little over two years, but farming has been part of their family for generations. Jason is from Cottondale and is a 5th-generation farmer, and Dawn is from Fadette, Alabama, and taught school in Slocomb for over 20 years. Together, they took a leap of faith, worked hard and trusted God as they built Springhill Harvest. Their motto fits them perfectly: “Fresh from the farm and blessed by the Son!” ❤️One of my favorite parts of the visit was getting a behind-the-scenes look at their peanut operation. I watched how the peanuts are sorted, washed and prepared, and I even tried one right out of the shell! 🥜 They grow their own green peanuts and field peas and also carry a wide variety of products from local farmers and other vendors.And y’all…I really thought I was mainly walking into a fruit and vegetable market. Boy, was I surprised! 😂 They have produce, meat, raw milk, honey, fresh bread, ice cream, candles, home décor, hats, T-shirts, football items, gifts and so much more. I even found a collectible CAT metal excavator for my grandson!And if you’re looking for a reason to stop by, they have a Labor Day Giveaway tomorrow, and Springhill Harvest Fest on the Farm is coming up September 26, 2026, with food, music, animals and fun for the whole family.Maybe you’ve driven by Springhill Harvest just like I had and didn’t really know everything that was there.
